Both bikes were tested in completely different weather climates to cover cold and warm climates. We made sure both bikes behaved the same and yielded the same results, without issues. Since our initial testing, we have successfully tuned over 1,000 R18 variants across the world, with glowing reviews and results!\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003chr\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\n STAGE 1 BENEFITS\n\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n Perfect fueling... all the time! The BMW R18 comes equipped with wideband oxygen sensors, stock, which can fully be set to target fuel at every throttle position. With Stage 1 the bike is running an “auto” tuner at all times! This isn't something the bike does stock and requires careful tuning to enable properly. You'll never need custom adjustments for aftermarket parts once our Stage 1+ Flash is loaded. The bike will use the factory O2 sensors to adjust itself for the new parts! The soft limits are where the R18 will start to close the throttle and limit torque near the RPM limiter. We removed the soft limiter that comes in 600RPM before the factory RPM limiter. This will give you more power when you need it.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\n    MODIFIED FUELING FOR FULL-TIME CLOSED LOOP AND WILL TARGET FOR BEST FUELING AND PERFORMANCE\n\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/u\u003e\n  . Full-time closed loop tuning means your R18 can be programmed to always target a perfect AFR (air\/fuel ratio). This new technology was just introduced by BMW in 2020 on other models, and we utilize it to work at all times for you with Stage 1. The R18 has multiple ignition tables.  Depending on fuel quality, the bike will either choose more aggressive or less aggressive ignition map. This means more power when you want it through a simple higher octane gas tank fill.\n\u003c\/span\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\n    IDLE AND STARTUP FIXES.\n\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/u\u003e\n  Complaints of idle and startup issues are common. Stage 1 fixes these issues and ensures your bike starts up and idles right the first time, every time.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\n    INCREASED TORQUE LIMITS.\n\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/u\u003e\n  Torque limits removed to give you more torque in the midrange and low end (see dyno graphs below).\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\n    THROTTLE INCREASED TO 100%.\n\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/u\u003e\n  Factory throttle limits are common these days. Our Stage 1 flash removes all throttle limiters and gives you the power your bike should have had right from the factory.
